The Pure Words of The Lord
Psalm 12:6
We live in an imperfect world. A world where sin has reached forth its noxious fumes into every sector of humanity including language. Much of the language today is nothing more than a quagmire of rhetoric filled with euphemisms, double speak and gobblygook. As you know language is everything. The words we say and hear impact the way we live and move throughout life, more than most are willing to give credit for. We cannot afford to take any chances with the meager words of man (1 Thessalonians 2:13) – we must seek something better !
For the Bible Believer there is a bastion of security, a place of refuge, a strong tower. Rising up from the din of reckless terminology, deceit and rhetoric is God’s word - the Holy Bible. As Christians we are unique in that we have something of immeasurable value, untainted by the venomous effects of sin - the pure words of the Lord. (Proverbs 30:5)
The Bible, above all things is our only authority and as such is our source of knowledge (2 Tim 3:16), comfort and hope (Romans 15:4), and spiritual food ( Psalm 119:103; 1 Peter 2:2 ) to name a few. It is of necessity that we turn through its holy pages and rest with confidence that we have found a golden treasure, prepared, preserved and perfect for this generation and the ones to come.
God, in doing this, enabled us with the ability to boldly march forward tackling the issues of this life and preparing us for the next. Let us lay hold of the promises set before us and communicate steadfastly to the lost the perilous condition they are in and the glorious hope that is in Jesus Christ. Amen
