This photo was taken on the day this man got saved. It was taken by a family member who had been praying for years that this man would get saved. The gentlemen in the photo is the father of two of our members.
He had a couple of questions which were dealt with from the Bible. After he was satisfied he knelt on the steps and recieved Christ as his Saviour. I will you tell the tears of joy were flowing, and there was great excitement in the house of God as a result. He got baptized and has been a faithful member ever since.
Seeing precious souls, souls of which Christ shed his precious blood for, come under conviction and get right with God is greater than anything I have known. Countless testimonies from the nursing homes, street ministry and veteran's program all praising God for souls coming to know Christ as their Saviour does something for a ministry that no purpose driven book, seeker sensitive program can ever do.
Gospel outreach is the most important aspect of any local New Testament Church. It puts things in their proper perspective and keeps the saint humble and thoughtful about the human condition - lost. It has a revitalizing effect on the local New Testament Church as well. Truly fostering that spirit of unity and striving together for the furtherance of the gospel has its rewards.
